Supreme Energy, ENGIE and Sumitomo Corp, announced today the commercial operation of Stage-1 Muara Laboh Geothermal Power Generation located in Solok Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province. The power generation has the capacity of 85 MW net.ADB provides a loan of USD 70 million to develop geothermal steam resources in West Sumatra, Indonesia, through production and injection facilities and a single power generation unit. The project will help the government advance towards its renewable energy and climate change mitigation goals, and support private sector investment in the geothermal sector.
